This smart plug&play solar system includes everything you need to save on your electricity bill, but comes with our affordable Shield line of solar panels. Simply plug it into a standard power outlet, connect to our App and watch your solar panels start producing free electricity. This is a Safe Harbor kit, modeled after recent legislation in various States, which allows up to 400W of Plug-In Solar without safety features usually required by the National Electric Code. It does NOT come with our PowerMeter, so you will see your production, but not your power usage.

All products were developed by CraftStrom and work in perfect unison to allow you to install solar by yourself, without needing permission. With the other kits, we provide accessories, which allow our systems to be safe and reliable, while adhering to National Electric Code (NEC) standards on any standard home circuit.
How much can I save?
You can produce up to 720 kWh every year or 18,000 kWh over the lifetime of the system. That’s enough power to drive a Tesla for 99,000 miles or 4 times around the Earth. We provide the warranties and the sun is free!
Can I get the solar tax credit from the government?
Unfortunately, the tax credits for private solar installation were repealed and ended with December 2025.
What regulates my solar system?
This Safe Harbor kit produces independent of your electricity usage and will export solar power, if you can’t use it immediately.
Is it safe to connect to a power outlet?
Yes! A power outlet is just a connection point for electrical devices. It allows power flow in both directions. In this case, it was determined in some States (e.g. Colorado) that this size system is safe to simply plug into any outlet without the need for safety devices. You, as the user & installer, need to determine, if your State allows this type of kit without a PowerMeter or other safety device.
